Language services at the Alliance Francaisealso extend to our interpreting and translation services. Our servicesare carried out in the following languages:
- English to French / French to English
- English to Fijian / Fijian to English
All services to our clients are highly confidential and we assure you ahigh quality of work. Throughout the years we have provided services tointernational and regional organizations, embassies, corporatecompanies and individuals in Fiji.
Translation Services
Documents are categorised in three kinds, with the following rates applicable:
- Certificates and Diplomas: $40 per A4 page
- Standard: $55 per A4 page
- Technical or Scientific: $75 per A4 page
All documents are translated and proof-read by two highly trained andexperienced translators before they are delivered to the client. Inaddition to the officially stamped and signed hard copy, electroniccopies can be supplied on request. A minimum deposit of $20 needs to bepaid before translation work begins.
Interpreting Services
Our services are categorized in the following way:
- Accompaniment: the interpreter is called upon to accompany a foreign language speaker and facilitate his/her contacts and discussions with native speakers.
- Consecutive interpreting: the interpreter will interpret after the person has spoken or has paused during a conference.
- Simultaneous interpreting: the interpreter is interpreting at the same time in the target language while a person is speaking during a conference.
Rates: 60$ per hour + transport + time spent during transport; negotiable.
